Vagrants or Rarities
These birds are not regular migrants or breeding birds within the UK. Some (eg Night Heron) are showing signs of possibly establishing themselves here, presumably due to climate change. Whilst I don't chase vagrant species (I'm not a twitcher) they are always a very welcome sight if encountered, or happen to be reported a short drive away. It would be a shame not to include them in my collection.
